| The Olympic sport of fencing consists of a succession of attacks and defenses while trying to outwit and overpower the opponent.
Fencing
is the life improvement sport. Do you want to improve your mental
acuity, your physical skills, or both?
If you want to become more physically fit or just want to fence for recreation, or maybe compete at local, regional, national or international level, our Fencing Academy's have a program for you to accomplish your goals. Fencing will improve your mind, your ability to focus, as well as
your overall fitness and strength. Because fencing can be very complex,
we have broken the learning of the actions into easy, manageable
levels. Look for the description of our 10 levels on the following pages for Youth and Adult classes.
The benefits for adults
include an increase in physical skills, balance & coordination,
weight & stress control, as well as improved awareness. The benefits
for youth include increases in maturity, focus, responsibility,
sportsmanship and the creation of a strong work ethic. * FYI parents -
listing "national competitive fencer" on a college application greatly
increases the chance of getting into the college of choice.
